In this Privacy Policy, any information that can uniquely identify an individual is called “Personal Information.” The above categories (and any similar data) are considered Personal Information when they can be linked to you.

Lawful Basis (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data under the legal bases defined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR specifies several bases for lawful processing, including Consent, Contract, Legal Obligation, Vital Interests, Public Task, and Legitimate Interests. In practice, this means, for example, we process your data to fulfill our contract with you (processing your orders and providing customer service), to comply with legal requirements, or because you have given consent (such as to receive marketing emails). We do not rely on any other legal basis for processing your personal data.
Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. This means we consider factors like the sensitivity of the data, the risk of unauthorized use or disclosure, and any legal obligations we have. For example, we keep order information for tax and business records, and we keep support inquiries for as long as needed to resolve your issue. As Shopify explains, “We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we have collected it” (e.g. providing services and complying with legal obligations). If you ask us to erase your data, we will do so unless we have a legal requirement to retain it (such as for tax or accounting purposes).
Automated Decision-Making
We do not use any fully automated decision-making processes that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. In other words, we do not profile or automate decisions about you without human intervention in a way that would significantly affect you. Our partners (like Shopify) may use limited automated techniques (for example, algorithms to prevent fraud) but these have no legal effect on customers and are used only to improve service. As Shopify’s policy states, their machine learning is either reviewed by humans or used in ways that do not have a “legal or otherwise significant effect” on individuals.
We DO NOT engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.
Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.
Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:
- Temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This denylist persists for a small number of hours.
- Temporary denylist of credit cards associated with denylisted IP addresses. This denylist persists for a small number of days.

The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.
You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our website may no longer be fully accessible.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu.
